ENGL 098
Integrated Reading + Writing II
10 credit online course
Description: This course provides students with opportunities to further develop the reading, writing, and critical thinking skills needed to write in academic settings. Topics include reading and writing processes, critical thinking strategies, study skills, and grammar instruction. Upon completion, students should be able to apply these skills toward understanding a variety of academic and career-related texts and composing a college-level essay.
ENGL&101+
College Composition (+ ENGL 099)
10 credit online course
Description: In this class we will cover all the fun of college composition with extra support (more time together = slower pace, more time with each other and conferences throughout the quarter). Units of learning about writing will revolve around strong sentence writing, paragraphing and longer compositions. We will cover purposes and analysis of written and visual rhetoric.
What books do we need for these classes?
ENGL098 and ENGL&101+ do not require any textbooks. All reading materials will be available online and/or through the instructor.
