Personal Statement
Marla Robinson holds a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Marine Biology from UC Santa Cruz. She is passionate about teaching biological sciences and has over a decade of experience. She has taught high school biology, TA'd at UW and was full-time Anatomy & Physiology faculty at Highline College for almost 5 years before joining the faculty of the Seattle Colleges. Marla also co-founded a biotechnology startup in Seattle and has worked in the Middle East and Europe as a biotech researcher. She is the eldest of five children, and when they weren't criss-crossing the Americas in their trusty Dodge Ram van, her family lived in Baja California Norte, Mexico for most of her childhood. She lives in S. Seattle with her husband and is obsessed with urban vegetable gardening, dog training and the Seattle Seahawks.
