Personal Statement

A bit about my teaching philosophy: It is my responsibility to provide students with the information and structure that they need to successfully complete my classes. My role is to give students the means by which they can learn the material, and do well. College coursework can be challenging in that students are tested not only on their acquisition of knowledge, but also on their ability to take the knowledge and apply it using critical reasoning skills. I pride myself on the fact that my classes help you exercise your critical reasoning skills by giving you "anthropology goggles" that you will never want (or be able) to take off!
