Personal Statement

Glenda Graham-Walton is a Certified Human Resources Profession with experience in Organization and Employee Development, Adult Education, and Training. She served in leadership positions in public, private, and non-profit institutions. Including 30 years with the City of Seattle as a Manager, Strategic Advisor, Executive Director, and Consultant. She has also served as a business and leadership coach, consultant, and practitioner. 

Ms. Graham-Walton has designed, taught, and facilitated business, leadership, professional development, diversity and inclusion, and communications training for business and academia. She has provided certified training in course and program development and instructional design. Plus, received local, regional, and national awards for her work.

Ms. Graham-Walton began teaching part-time in South Seattle's Supervision and Management Program (SMG) early in her professional career. Concurrently, she worked in Human Resources for the City of Seattle, and as an Instructional Designer and Organizational Development Consultant. Ms. Graham-Walton teaches Business and Leadership courses, serves on South's Assessment Committee, and actively pursues other efforts that promote and encourage anti-racist education and academic success for all students, with an emphasis on marginalized students.

Ms. Glenda is a life-long learner. She enjoys sharing her expertise, motivating students, and helping learners enjoy and apply their learning while growing and developing personally and professionally. Her personal pursuits include gardening, African/Black American genealogy, and travel. Join her for a pragmatic and awesome learning experience!
