Personal Statement
Accounting skills are valuable for a wide range of career options, not just to those preparing to enter the field of accounting or bookkeeping. The North Seattle Community College Accounting Department has a variety of programs to fit student’s needs and interests, and I’m pleased to be a part of the dedicated and innovative team that strives to bring quality education to the community.
As an instructor, my goal is to help students of all ages and backgrounds develop the skills they need to improve their quality of life and that of their families, through patience, flexibility and a hint of “tough love.” I encourage students to reflect on what they learn and how it’s used in the “real world,” as well as to share their experiences and ideas with other students. Preparing for a new career, a new job, or even just that next exam is hard work and I strive to be supportive of every student.
