Brandon Carroll

Personal Statement

Brandon was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and graduated with his B.A. in Psychology & Sociology with a minor in Education from the University of North Carolina. After college, Brandon moved to South Florida and joined AmeriCorps as a Graduation Coach for the Palm Beach County School District. Soon after, he served as the Director of College Retention for Take Stock in Children in Palm Beach and assisted at-risk, low-income, first-generation students enroll and matriculate through college and complete their degrees. Brandon is excited to continue his passion at Seattle Central College as the Assistant Director of Advising & Transfer and help students reach their educational goals. 
 
Over the years, Brandon has gained a strong dedication to mentoring, advising, and coaching students. As a result, he felt that Seattle Central College was the perfect institution to begin his journey working directly in higher education. As the Assistant Director of Advising & Transfer, Brandon is passionate about helping advise & guide students to achieve their academic, professional, and personal pursuits. On his days off, Brandon loves being active, doing CrossFit, traveling, hiking, listening to music, collecting vinyl records, playing board games/video games, and trying different foods and coffee.
