Personal Statement

I am a Seattle Promise Outreach Specialist who serves students at West Seattle, Summit Atlas, Interagency, and the Cascade Parent Partnership as they navigate the Seattle Promise application and enrollment process. I joined Seattle Promise because I believe that a high-quality higher education should be available to all students. Prior to joining the Promise team I worked in college recruitment and residence life which allowed me to see a lot of the barriers that can prevent students from accessing and succeeding in higher education. Joining the Promise team has allowed me to work to break down some of those barriers and support students as they enter higher education. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University and a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University.
