Personal Statement
Ever since I was very little I have loved working with computer technology. It probably helped that my father was a computer programmer. Over the past 20+ years I have worked in just about every type of IT position you can think of. My first job as a 15 year old high school student was working as a PC Depo Tech (Hardware & Software Specialist) for a local computer retailer. After graduating high school I did Field Tech Support for a few IT consulting firms, then rose through the ranks in college working for the ISP Seakeasy.net in (as a Tier I, Tier II and Tier III Support, then Operations and Network Administration). I've spent the last decade working in Managed Services (for various local MSPs serving the greater Pacific Northwest areas and beyond) in various roles (e.g. as a Sr. Network Engineer, Systems Administrator, NOC, department manager and trainer).
I have been a faculty member here at North Seattle College since the end of 2010 and teach various five credit courses in Electronics, Fiber Optics, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, and Robotics.
