Personal Statement
I've been working in the Information Technology, Networking and Cybersecurity spaces for well over 20 years now. I have worked in just about every type of IT position you can think of. My first job as a 15 year old high school student was working as a PC Depo Technician (Hardware & Software Specialist) for a local computer retailer. After graduating high school I did Field Tech Support for a few IT consulting firms, then got my networking chops working for a local ISP (Seakeasy.net) as a Tier I, Tier II and Tier III engineer, then as Operations and Network Administration. I've spent the last decade working in Managed Services (for various local MSPs serving the greater Pacific Northwest areas and beyond) in various roles (e.g. as a Sr. Network Engineer, Lead Systems Administrator, NOC, SOC, Centralized Services Lead, Incident Response Manager, Department Manager, Client Relationship Manager, and Technology Trainer).
I have been a faculty member here at North Seattle College since the end of 2010, and teach various five credit courses in Electronics, Fiber Optics, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, and Robotics.
