Alissa Agnello

Personal Statement

I started teaching chemistry at North Seattle College in 2007 and am a tenured instructor in the chemistry department. I've taught classes in chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology and was the director of a NSF Regional Center for nanotechnology education. 

For six years, I served as the Dean for the Math & Science Division, which includes biology, chemistry, environmental and earth sciences, computer science, economics, engineering, math, physics, and physical education.

During this time, I worked closely with all areas of campus, including serving on several hiring committees as an Inclusion Advocate to help our search processes be more open and equitable. Other highlights were co-chairing the Assessment Committee and representing instruction on the CARE team in support of students and faculty.
