Personal Statement
Educational Philosophy
Hands-on Work + Academic Concepts
I believe that combining hands-on, real-world projects with academic knowledge provides well-rounded learning experiences.
Team Work
I am also a fan of collaborative, team projects. Professionally, in the workplace, you are typically a member of a team and are expected to contribute, take ownership and be ready to lead.
Innovation, Originality + New Ideas
Most importantly, I hope to motivate and encourage each student to be creative, original, inventive, innovative in their thinking and doing. Solid, deep research and open-minded inquiry should lead to original, interesting and insightful analysis which, in turn, leads to the ability to create innovative new things for the world and innovative new ways of doing things in the world.
My goal as an educator is, above all, to facilitate this.
