Personal Statement

My name is Joe Atil. I am a dedicated Seattle Promise Retention Specialist committed to ensuring student success and equitable outcomes for Promise scholars across the Seattle Colleges District. With a focus on proactive intervention, resource navigation, and mentorship, I work closely with students to identify and overcome academic and non-academic barriers. I believe strongly in the transformative power of education and I am passionate about building a supportive pathway from high school to college completion.

Before joining Seattle Colleges, I developed expertise in institutional efficacy, student success coaching, academic advising by serving in various high school and higher education roles, aligning perfectly with the Seattle Promise mission to ensure equitable pathways to college completion.
