Personal Statement

I have had a long-standing passion both for technology and for helping others. This has grown from my own personal love of learning about the many facets of math, science, and technology and from sharing this interest.

This curiosity has afforded me many fascinating experiences while working in the military, as well as in the fields of optoelectronics design, healthcare and higher education. In these arenas, I have found and continue to develop the skills of mentoring, management, coaching, and training on and servicing technical systems such as medical devices.

Along the way, I have obtained my Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology and my Master of Applied Physics, with a focus on Optoelectronics, from the University of Oregon, both while continuing my passion for mentoring and tutoring.

I look forward to hearing about your passions and the path that you journeyed to get here.
