Personal Statement

I am honored to work with an incredible group of colleagues committed to student success. NSC’s nursing faculty team strives for excellence, reflected in evidence-based teaching and learning achieved by both faculty and students. We serve a diverse population of students, some of them first generation college students and many of them from different racial, ethnic and cultural background. The main priority for our team is ensuring the future competency of the nursing workforce. We are making certain that students acquire the knowledge and develop the skills demanded of today’s rapidly changing health care environment. We offer innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Distance technology and a high fidelity simulation are well-utilized in our nursing curriculum. We have strong partnerships with a variety of community and clinical organizations, many of whom have supported NSC’s nursing programs for many years. The partnerships enable our students to obtain a wide spectrum of clinical experience to prepare them to function in a changing healthcare environment.
