Instruction Sheet for Canvas

1. To go to Canvas, use the internet on your laptop or phone.
2. Type canvas.southseattle.edu in the address bar.
3. You will need your Student ID number (SID) and the first 8 letters of

your last name to sign into Canvas.

4.  Log-in = SID #  
5. Password = first 8 letters of your last name.
6. If your last name is less than 8 letters, repeat until you have 8 letters.

Example: Joe Short – shortsho (8 letters)

7. After you type in your SID and Password, click ENTER.
8.  Then you will go to Canvas.
9.  You will have an Invitation to join our ESL-3 class.    

10. Click Accept. (green button at the top).

11.  If you scroll down, near the bottom there is a blue box.

12.  Click on ESL 030 W21 and you will get into the class.   Success!!
